I took my basic chocolate, chocolate chip cookie dough recipe, left out the chocolate chips and added crushed candy canes (the kids had fun helping crush the candy canes with a rolling pin).
I rolled my cookie dough into balls and dipped the top of them in the candy canes. (I also tried rolling them in the candy canes too, but they don't come free from the cookie sheet very easily, so if you did that, I think you would need to use parchment paper.)
My finished product - a fun Christmas cookie!
